During this two-hour presentation attendees will learn about the history of Detroit sanitary sewer systems, and the role NASSCO has played in evolving the industry since 1976. Trenchless technology safety advancements made through the years will be highlighted. Attendees will also learn about the impending affordability crisis for water services and the role proper assessment and asset management play to reduce costs and secure adequate funding to maintain healthy systems. The presentation will conclude with projecting industry needs in the future and required standards and best practices for advancing our industry, protecting workers and the environment, and serving our communities well.
